The 2026 Victorian Vegetable Innovation Days is taking place on the 7th – 8th of May at Taranto Farms in Tyabb, with 7 Worlds Ag set to be part of the Ag Chem Demonstration Sites.
VicVID (Victorian Vegetable Innovation Days) brings together growers, agronomists, researchers and industry suppliers to focus on what’s happening in crops. It’s a chance to walk trial sites, look at crop protection programs in real conditions, and have practical conversations around what’s working, what isn’t, and where improvements can be made.
What to Expect at VicVID 2026
VicVID is a free, in-field event designed to make it easy for industry to come together and spend time where it matters… in the field.
The site is set up as a working demonstration farm, with trial plots and exhibitor areas spread across the field. This allows for easy movement between sites and encourages genuine discussion, whether you’re comparing approaches, asking questions, or sharing your own experiences from the season.
Across the two days, the focus is on practical outcomes, from crop protection and nutrition programs through to seed development and AgTech. All presented under real growing conditions rather than controlled environments.

What We’re Working On at VicVID 2026
Research and development is one of our core values and this is an opportunity to be hands-on and test products in real conditions. The VicVID site has experienced significant pest and disease pressure, providing a realistic environment to assess product performance.
Ag Chem Demonstration Sites | Herbicide Trial in Brassicas
At this year’s event, 7 Worlds Ag is participating in the Ag Chem Demonstration Sites with a focused herbicide trial across brassica crops.
The trial includes:
- Six treatments across cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower
- A comparison of current industry-standard herbicides alongside a new herbicide in early development
- A focus on application timing
Rather than just comparing products, this trial is looking at how timing influences weed control and crop safety which is an area that often limits the effectiveness of existing programs depending on conditions and crop stage. This is where small changes in approach can have a practical impact in the paddock.
Initial Results
The photos outline a comparison between treated and untreated plots of a new herbicide that 7 Worlds Ag is in the process of developing.
The first photo (left) is 7 days after application of 7WA-035H Herbicide, and the second photo (right) is 21 days after application, on cabbages. The left plot is treated, and the right plot is the untreated control. Prior to application, both plots had similar weed pressure.
7 Worlds Products Used at VicVID 2026
To manage key significant pest and disease pressure and protect crop development, the program has included:
- Clama 50SC and Spinosec 240 for Diamondback Moth and Cabbage butterfly pest management. Both common challenges in brassica crops that can quickly impact plant health and yield.
- Fortuna Globe for Anthracnose, Downy Mildew and Alternaria
- Tribasic Liquid for Downy Mildew
